Molasses Cookies
These delightfully spiced cookies are the perfect holiday dessert.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon cardamom
  • ¾ teaspoons ground ginger
  • ½ teaspoon cloves
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2⁄3 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • 1⁄3 cup molasses
  • 1 Tablespoon flaxmeal + 2 Tablespoons water soaked for 15 minutes
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • ½ cup raw sugar, for rolling
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350º.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, cardamom, ground ginger, cloves, nutmeg, salt, and brown sugar.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix melted butter, molasses, soaked flaxmeal, vanilla.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and mix until fully combined.
  5. Scoop 1 Tablespoon of the dough, roll into a ball, coat with raw sugar, and place on a lined baking sheet. Repeat this process until all dough has been used.
  6. Bake cookies for 8-10 minutes. Allow to cool for 10 minutes. Serve warm and enjoy!
