VegFest Invites You to Get Involved!

Volunteer

VegFest Oahu continues their mission to make the link between diet and climate change with a hard-hitting press release and an invitation to the public to build Climate Change Exhibits for the upcoming event. Support the event by volunteering or by purchasing their Bumper Sticker with a project donation.

VegFest Oahu Making Headlines

VegFest Oahu just sent their 2016 Press Release to local news media with the headline: “VegFest Oahu Provides Solutions to Health Care Crisis and Climate Change.” The press release cites Hawaii’s high rate of obesity and diabetes, as well as a recent study by University of Hawaii outlining the impact that climate change is already having on the island state. It includes a Fact Sheet packed with statistics as well as highlights for the event.

Get Involved - Create Something for the Festival

You’ve got what it takes to make a difference in the world and VegFest Oahu is your opportunity!  Get involved in one of their Creative Committees and help make a unique experience that just might change someone's perspective - like a Climate Change Educational Exhibit. The VegFest Oahu website gives four possible models you could use.  Each model demonstrates the alarming impacts of the agriculture business on the environment and will help people understand the link between our diet choices and climate change in clear and obvious ways.
