Deb’s Raw Cheese Pâté

This vegan substitute for cheese was created by one of our Down to Earth customers. Raw, vegan “cheese” is a terrific alternative to dairy cheese, especially for those who are allergic to dairy products. Nuts are the base of this pâté, so it is very filling.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup raw cashews (soaked and drained)
  • 2 Tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • ½ red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 Tablespoon onion pieces
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 Tablespoons nutritional yeast
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon liquid aminos
  • Paprika for garnish (optional)
Instructions
  1. Place everything into a blender and blend until creamy.
  2. Garnish with paprika (optional) and serve with raw crackers or sliced veggies. Enjoy!
